This is the photo of me that my husband kept in his flak jacket in Afghanistan for 7 months. He was deployed from May til November 2009. We just found it in his rifle cleaning kit from the deployment when we were cleaning last week. He was in the Marines from September 2007 til September 2011. The photo is from my Graveyard Girls model shoot in June 2008. It’s one of his favorite photos of me. This picture still has sand from Afghanistan on it. We got married in December 2010. I love him more than anything, and it means so much to me that he was still thinking of me and wanted a photo of me with him while he wasn’t at home, even though we weren’t even dating at the time.
